Notripod - Instructions

Unlike a normal photo which is taken in a fraction of a second, capturing a long exposure photo can take several seconds. To prevent the photo from being completely blurry, a tripod is normally needed to hold the camera still. Notripod eliminates the need for a tripod by stabilizing the image during capture allowing long exposure shots to be taken handheld.

How to use

Using Notripod is very simple. First, select the exposure time using the segmented control, aim the camera, press the shutter button and hold the camera steady for the duration of the exposure. The ring around the shutter button will progress to show you the remaining time.

To help keep the camera steady during exposure, be sure to keep the crosshair inside the reticle. If the crosshair comes out of the reticle, the exposure will be temporarily suspended while you re-aim the camera.

Adjusting exposure and focus

To adjust the exposure and focus on a particular region, simply tap the region on the screen. To reset exposure and focus, double-tap the screen. Manual adjustment of exposure and focus will soon be offered.

Self-timer

To give yourself time to stabilize your camera after pressing the shutter button, enable the self-timer.

Disabling stabilization

If needed, you can deactivate stabilization by pressing the stabilization button.
